The Silencer features a durable felt resistive coupling foot, a direct coupling ball, and a Sorbothane isolating layer. Listening tests conducted with all Vertere record players showed that adding the Silencer, particularly when paired with an Iso-Shelf, enhanced stereo focus, reduced background noise, and improved low-frequency resolution. The result is a performance boost similar to that of a major upgrade in an MC cartridge.

The Silencer also aids in leveling, offering about 5mm of height adjustability in its design. It can support a wide range of weights, providing sonic improvements across various equipment. We’ve noticed benefits when using it with lighter devices like the Phono-1 phono stage, as well as with heavier units such as the RG-1 record player.
