For the noise about Vertere Acoustic’s excellent turntables and tonearms, it’s worth remembering that Vertere’s first products were cables, and its Pulse portfolio of cable systems – from the entry-level D-Fi to the HB (or Hand-Built) range -remain one of the most exciting and innovative cable systems available, especially now that it has launched the Redline range.
Derived from the reference-grade Pulse-R range of cables and replacing the brand’s ‘Pulse-B’ line, Redline cable is double shielded with seven independent conductors per channel, allowing for different configurations depending on end use. The range features bespoke connectors designed by and for Vertere, and these connectors receive three times the amount of gold plating normally seen in audio components.
All of which makes for a highly consistent sound – the ‘get out of the way of the music’ performance of the interconnects applies just as equally to Redline’s speaker cables and power cords – one that is as meticulous as it is rhythmically addictive.
